The repercussions of the latest deluge include scattered landslides. On Oahu, bearing the brunt of those are residents of the North Shore, and those wanting to drive along the coast. In particular, the tumbling of boulders onto Kamehameha Highway near Waimea Bay has forced the state Department of Transportation to contraflow two-way traffic into one lane to repair the eroded slope.
