WHP farmers struggle as transport costs spike after fuel hike

Farmers in Western Highlands Province who transport garden produce to markets in Lae (Morobe Province) and Port Moresby (National Capital District) are facing a double blow following the recent fuel price increase.
The farmers, who transport bags of sweet potatoes, cabbage, bananas, and other cash crops, are facing severe hardships after fuel prices were hiked last week.
