The greatest drama experienced by Clementine Bouche during her 700-km cross country skiing trip between Yellowknife and Deline so far was when her dog ran off for the third time.
According to her emergency contact, Dwayne Wohlgemuth, also from Yellowknife, Bouche woke to -41 C temperatures and the start of her period, so her energy was low. But the worst of it was that her dog, Cocoa, on loan from Sundogadventures, was nowhere to be seen.
