Celeste Dupuy-Spencer, a painter who confronted injustice at home and abroad with striking scenes of resistance, died on Friday, April 10, at the age of 46 at her home in Los Angeles, days before the opening of a new solo exhibition of her work at Jeffrey Deitch’s West Hollywood gallery.
