Most people think the loneliest part of getting older is being alone. Fewer friends at the dinner table, quieter weekends, that kind of thing. But honestly, that’s not it. The real loneliness, the one that actually keeps you up at night, is sitting across from someone you’ve known for fifteen years and realising you’re basically strangers now. Same face, same laugh, completely different people. And the worst part is neither of you did anything wrong.
