Artemis II’s historic 10-day mission around the surface of the Moon has come to an end. As the Orion capsule approached the Earth’s surface a commander onboard described what he saw, saying: “There’s a great, blue hue to it. It’s beautiful.”
The four astronauts were in a jubilant mood, landing safely after the Orion capsule hit the earth’s atmosphere at 32 times the speed of sound, paving the way for a lunar landing and a mission to Mars in the not too distant future.
