There’s a certain kind of invitation that doesn’t feel like luck, so much as recognition.
For Victoria-based writer Claire Mulligan, the invitation to apply for a four-month writer-in-residence position at Roderick Haig-Brown house didn’t come out of nowhere, but out of years of doing the work well enough that someone noticed.
Established in 2004, the writer-in-residence program has hosted a wide-range of writers from across Canada.
