European Airports are starting to run low on jet fuel, according to a letter ACI Europe, an industry body for airports, sent to EU transport commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas, according to the Financial Times (access here).

The issue is that the Strait of Hormuz, a transit route for 40% of the world’s jet fuel, is blocked due to Iran’s reaction to the US and Israel’s attack on the country, although there is currently a truce in place.
