This 1937 Cord 812 is one of 100 examples that were hand-built in 1935 in order to qualify the Cord 810 for the platform’s introduction at the 1935 New York Auto Show, and it is among those later completed and sold as 1937 models. The car is said to have been discovered in a Michigan barn without a drivetrain in the 1980s before being sold to a General Motors executive who had it refurbished circa the 2000s in California.
