Montreal police evacuated McGill’s Bronfman Building on the university’s downtown campus Friday evening after receiving calls about “gunshot noises,” but confirmed the incident was a false alarm.



A 911 call was made around 5:35 p.m. about gunshot noises inside the McGill University building on Sherbrooke St., near Metcalfe St., according to Montreal police spokesperson Johany Charland.
