Wit Studio confirmed that it used generative AI when creating the opening for season 4 of the anime adaptation of Ascendance of a Bookworm, and it said it will replace the scenes with hand-drawn art. The updated version of the opening will appear in the show starting with the second episode. That is expected to air on Crunchyroll April 11, 2026, as the first episode of the new season launched on April 4, 2026.
