Victoria firearm call draws heavy police response, turns out to be a lighter

A firearm call prompted a strong police response in downtown Victoria Thursday (April 9) afternoon.
VicPD was called around 2:40 p.m. for reports of a man in a parked vehicle near the intersection of Store and Swift streets with what appeared to be a firearm.
“Given the nature of the call, multiple officers attended, including tactical and K9, and a high-risk arrest was conducted. Temporary traffic restrictions were put in place to ensure the safety of the public and our officers,” V
