Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord is set primarily on the planet Janix, and although the show almost treats the location as though it should be familiar to fans, there's a very good reason why it isn't. While planets like Kashyyyk and Tatooine are commonly used as Star Wars settings, the beloved space opera is also criticized for not shaking things up enough in this respect. Shadow Lord has taken that concern firmly into account.
