Kirkuk’s K1 station receives first oil shipment from Basra

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraq’s North Oil Company (NOC) announced on Thursday that the K1 station in the northern province of Kirkuk has received the first shipment of crude oil from Basra after renovations were finished to increase its operational capacity.



The station’s manager Sarmad Mohammed told the state-run news agency (INA) that crude cargoes were transported from Basra via tanker trucks, with unloading operations taking place immediately upon arrival.
