The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Final Fantasy 7, and even Persona 5 are all some of the best AAA and mass-marketed RPGs of all time. No one can dispute how they hold up and their contribution to the genre as a whole. AAA RPGs can, unfortunately, outshine smaller RPGs that are sometimes even better.
